Prepress Specialist

ORB™ Toys is looking for a detail-oriented person to assist in the day-to-day prepress operations. If you are a person who knows their way around a Mac, using Illustrator and Photoshop are second nature to you, and you love learning new skills, we welcome your resume!
In addition, you must have an eye for detail, be efficient, flexible and easily adaptable to changing priorities in a fast paced rapidly evolving environment. You will be responsible for adhering to prepress standards, checking accuracy of artwork, specifications, and supporting our design team.

Job Description:
- Proofread artwork and check packaging information for accuracy.
- Verify product material specifications.
- Verify style guides are followed by Design team members.
- Verify proper workflow and file structure standards are followed.
- Collect files and release artwork to factories.
- Communicate with factories in an approval process.
- Create, edit, and verify die lines.
- Update packaging information.

- Basic understanding of packaging requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience in prepress or a related discipline
- Proficiency in prepress software and design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of printing processes, color management and file preparation
- Know how to make necessary adjustments and corrections to ensure print quality
- Understanding of die line creation requirements
- Fluent in Mac environment.
- Fluent in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, Word.
Experience:
- Experience with Databases (NetSuite) would be an asset.
- A post-secondary degree or diploma with knowledge of prepress or equivalent work experience.

Salary Range: $22-$24 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
